The results demonstrate that the gold mineralisation at Youanmi, and especially at Grace, can be treated by conventional cyanide extraction methods.

ASX-listed dynamic duo Venus Metals and Rox Resources are at it again, this time at the Sovereign discovery within their historic Youanmi gold project in WA’s Murchison region. The Sovereign target continues to throw up some solid numbers including 10m going 3.64 grams per tonne gold from 79m. Venus recently finished three RC holes at Sovereign for a total of 530m to verify previous aircore results and test the bedrock potential beneath intercepts the aircore drilling enocuntered.
The 10m intersection also had a 2m high-grade section going 10.64 g/t gold from 82m and other notable intersections were 7m grading 3.97 g/t from 59m including 1m at 8.19 g/t from 64m and 4m at 2.68 g/t from 116m including 1m at 5.43g/t Au from 118m.
Venus Metals Corporation has returned new high-grade gold assays from exploration at the Sovereign prospect within the Youanmi gold joint venture, 480 kilometres north-east of Perth.
Reverse circulation drilling to test beneath gold intersections reported in an earlier aircore campaign expanded the previous gold discovery and showed best assays of 10m at 3.64 grams per tonne gold from 79m, including 2m at 10.64g/t from 82m; and 4m at 2.68g/t gold from 116m, including 1m at 5.43g/t from 118m.
Venus Metals and JV partner, Rox Resources have tabled their first set of metallurgical test work numbers at the Youanmi gold project in West Australia’s Goldfields. The results show an impressive average gold recovery from the oxide material at the Grace prospect of 97 per cent. The test work also returned a gold recovery of 94 per cent in oxide material at the Plant Zone and Main Lode.
High gold recoveries in the shallow oxide zone are encouraging for the JV partners who said they are now confident in the non-refractory nature of the mineralisation from outside the historical mine area at Youanmi.
The results will feed into the JV’s ongoing exploration approach and broader understanding of the Youanmi project area.

Infill drilling at the emerging Grace prospect adjacent to the Youanmi mill in WA’s Goldfields has thrown up more stellar gold intercepts for the ASX-listed JV partners, Venus Metals and Rox Resources, including 2m at 176.03 g/t from 28m, within a total interval of 4m at 88.81 g/t gold from 27m. The current drill program is extending the limits of the shallow deposit ahead of an estimate of contained resources with further, deeper results still pending.
Ground magnetic surveying will be carried out along the length of the Youanmi shear zone between the Youanmi mine and north of Penny West.

These are held in various joint ventures with Rox Resources Ltd, the partners preparing for reverse circulation (RC) and aircore (AC) drilling at Penny West Deep South prospect within the wider Youanmi exploration project.
A recently completed ground magnetic survey totalling 232-line kilometres generated six new targets and an additional 14 new targets have been prioritised based on the HEM survey and recent AC drilling results.
